1. Principle

This policy supplements the Return Policy and specifies the applicable refund terms.

 

2. Withdrawal

When a consumer validly exercises their legal right of withdrawal, VALTA refunds the amounts due in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Consumer Code.

The refund will be issued at the latest within the applicable legal period from the date of notification of withdrawal.

For a sale of goods, VALTA may defer reimbursement until the goods are recovered or until the consumer provides proof of shipment, whichever occurs first, in accordance with the law.

 

3. Method of reimbursement

Unless otherwise agreed, the refund will be made using the same payment method as the initial transaction and without additional charges being levied on the consumer solely because of the refund.

 

4. Amount refunded

Under the legal right of withdrawal, the refund includes payments received which must legally be returned, including, where charged, the costs corresponding to the standard delivery method offered by VALTA.

Any additional charges resulting from the customer's choice of a delivery method more expensive than the standard method are not necessarily refundable.

The direct costs of return may remain the responsibility of the customer when regulations and pre-contractual information allow it.

 

5. Depreciation

When the product has suffered depreciation resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and proper functioning, the consumer may be held liable under the conditions provided by law.

Any sum retained for this purpose must be objectively justifiable.

 

6. Non-conforming product

Requests relating to a defective or non-compliant product are not treated as a simple return.

The consumer then benefits from the remedies provided under the legal guarantee of conformity.

 

7. Bank processing times

After VALTA issues the refund, an additional delay beyond VALTA's control may be required before the transaction appears on the customer's account.
